Hey Excalibur Backers!
Production continues to move forward smoothly, so there’s very little news to share at this stage. This is just a quick update to show you progress. Hope everyone is staying warm!
Everything is progressing well, and we're still on track.
As a reminder, Backerkit pledge manager surveys will not be locked until the games have been loaded on boats, with cards being charged for any outstanding balances shortly thereafter. More information can be found in update #17.

Quick update from the production front, and it's all good news!
Manufacturing Progress
We've hit a major milestone: all files, shipping marks, and packout plans are now finalized. This means every detail is locked in and approved, and there's no more back-and-forth with the factory.
Manufacturing is well underway and progressing smoothly. The team is keeping a close eye on everything to ensure quality stays top-notch as production continues at full speed. We remain on track for fulfillment in May 2026!

Production Update: Mass Production in Full Swing! 🗡️

Hey Excalibur Backers!
We've got some great news from the production floor! As of this week, all final files have been approved for every version of Excalibur, and we're thrilled to report that many of the game components are now in full mass production. This includes the chips, swords, and collector boxes—everything is coming together beautifully!
Timeline Update
We'll continue to keep you posted as production progresses and will share more detailed shipping timelines as we get closer to completion.

✅ Samples Approved & Moving to Full Production

Greetings, noble backers and legendary conspirators!
We've got some exciting news to share - production is officially moving forward, and we have a Brass: Birmingham world champion to celebrate!
🏭 Production Update: Full Steam Ahead!
We received final pre-production copies of each version of Excalibur. A few final tweaks have been approved, and everything is now in greenlight to move to full production!
Timeline Status:
November-December 2025: Mass production in full swing
January 2026: Estimated freight departure from the factory to fulfillment centers
January 2026: Pledge manager closes and cards are charged
Everything remains on track for May 2026 delivery.
🏆 WSBG Champions Crowned!
Brass: Birmingham World Champion
Congratulations to Cliff Flachsenhar from Bozeman, MT, who won the 2025 WSBG Brass: Birmingham Championship!
This was Cliff's second WSBG Championship Ring - his first being for Gaia Project in 2022. He was also the 2022 WSBG Runner Up (earning $10,000), so this victory was well-earned.
Fun fact: Cliff is already in the playtest group for Brass: Pittsburgh, so he clearly knows his way around the Brass family of games! Interested in playtesting Brass: Pittsburgh? Join our Facebook group.
We'll share the Ring Game video with commentary once it's ready - they used our WSBG exclusive foil deck in that game, so it should look stunning on camera.
Overall WSBG Champion
Another huge congratulations to Daniel Ng, who took home the 2025 WSBG Championship title and $25,000! Daniel played Great Western Trail, then Brass: Birmingham, then Acquire to win it all in the finals.
Fun Fact: This was Daniel’s FIRST TIME at WSBG. Just goes to show - anyone can win!

Having trouble with your Backerkit survey? Email us at [email protected] with the specifics of what you need, and we'll help you out.
Wondering when surveys will lock? Backerkit pledge manager surveys will not be locked until the games have been loaded onto boats in approximately January 2026. Shortly thereafter, cards will be charged for shipping, add-ons, and applicable taxes. This will allow us to accurately calculate tariffs for USA backers and update USA shipping costs accordingly.
Reminder to USA backers: The shipping table on our campaign page shows a range of potential USA shipping costs. The exact cost of shipping for your pledge will be determined by the current tariffs at the time we charge the pledge manager. We will only add that amount. There will be no profiteering off tariffs. The minimum cost represents 0% tariff. Maximum is the maximum we will charge, even if tariffs are higher.

Time for another quick update on the Excalibur front. We've got a small update on samples and some convention news to share with you.
📅 Timeline Update: Slight Sample Delay
We were expecting to receive final samples this week, but those are now arriving next week due to a minor delay. This shouldn't impact our overall timeline.
Key Dates:
September-October 2025: Final sample approval and production setup
November-December 2025: Mass production
January 2026: Estimated freight departure from the factory to fulfillment centers
Everything is progressing as expected. But, of course, some delays are always possible. If we encounter anything that will adjust this timeline, we will update you as soon as we know what that adjustment looks like.
